Spence Students Honored with 2026 National Scholastic Awards

Spence student writers and visual artists were named national medalists in the 2026 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards recognize student achievement in the visual and literary arts in 29 categories, including painting, novel writing, mixed media, poetry, digital art, journalism, and more. Works are first judged locally through the more than 100 affiliates of the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Top works are then judged nationally by panels of judges composed of renowned artists, authors, educators, and industry experts. National Medalists and their educators are honored with a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Selections of award-winning work are highlighted in the annual art catalog and writing anthology publications, and a list of all National Medalists is included in the Yearbook.

Congratulations to Spence’s 2026 national awardees!
