Grade 8 Capstone Project

The Capstone Project invites every Grade 8 student to become an expert in a topic that excites them.

The program emphasizes student agency and voice—giving students the chance to explore, reflect, and share their learning in a culminating community celebration. As they engage in this process, students build essential skills in inquiry, independence, and communication—empowering them to see themselves as scholars and change makers.

Last year, the varied topics students chose to explore included the whaling industry, prosthetic devices, the impact of artificial intelligence, and sports psychology.
