Tuition and Financial Aid

The Spence School has a strong and longstanding commitment to enroll students with great potential regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year is $65,846.00. Tuition includes all program costs including books, class trips, and meal services. Currently, one in five Spence students receive Financial Aid, and the School allocates $8.1 million annually to need-based Financial Aid to make Spence accessible to a range of families.

The tuition is inclusive of all program costs including books, class trips, and meal services. The only exceptions are nominal fees:
Parents’ Association Dues (per family): $50
Class Dues (per child): $75
Registration Fee: $75

Payment Options
After the Initial Deposit of 20%
Annual - June 1st 80% Tuition
Semi-Annual - June 1st 70%, November 1st 10%
Monthly - May - December over 8 months (80%)

Spence processes its financial aid application through Clarity.

Clarity's application is in both English and Spanish. The application takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is mobile friendly. The application fee is $60 and you may share your application with additional schools that accept Clarity at no additional charge. Clarity has provided a step-by-step guide to assist families with the application and you may email questions to them at support@claritytuition.com in both English and in Spanish.

The deadline for financial aid application is December 1, 2024.

  • New Families - Financial Aid Application

    1. Complete the application through Clarity between September 1 and December 1.
    2. Once accepted, submit the following to Clarity by June 1
      • A copy of this year’s W-2 and/or 1099 tax form
      • A copy of this year’s U.S. Individual or Joint Tax Return (Form 1040) including all schedules

  • Current Families: Annual Renewal

    1. Complete and submit your Parents' Financial Statement (PFS). Due December 1.
    2. Submit the required supporting documents to SSS. Due December 1.
