The Teaching Institute at Spence Featured in NAIS Magazine

“Promoting Learning at Every Stage of Teachers' Careers,” an article penned by Eric Zahler, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Danielle Passno, Director of Outreach and Public Purpose (until June 30), is featured in the summer 2018 issue of the NAIS magazine. Zahler and Passno write about the Teaching Institute at Spence (TIaS), a weeklong professional development program for teachers with at least 10 years of experience, who are seen as highly effective in their schools.

"The Institute is our attempt to build a deep professional development experience; it is rooted in the belief that teachers can grow at every stage of their careers and that schools cannot grow stronger without a culture of sustained teacher learning," the article notes.
