Students Present 2025 Advanced Senior Art Portfolios
Graduating students in the Advanced Art Portfolio (AAP) program presented their bodies of work to an audience of Spence students, parents, and faculty. AAP is a yearlong course divided into two semesters: in their first semester, students explore new techniques and make work in response to a variety of prompts. During the second semester, students develop a series of works around a common theme.
Pulling from their time in Upper School visual arts classes, presenters shared pieces showcasing a variety of mediums, spanning photography to sculpture to encaustic painting. Student-selected themes included memory, New York Times' Tiny Love Stories, Little Red Riding Hood, and Intricacies of the Body.
“These artists have made work that is thoughtful, well-executed, imaginative, and engaging,” said Visual Arts faculty member and this year’s facilitator of the AAP course, Joseph Moore. “What more could you ask from art?”
Congratulations to this year’s graduating AAP students!
