Spence Gaining Valuable Experience Through Early Season Challenges

Despite dropping a hard fought 39-45 decision to Dwight, the Sabers are showing their resilience by fighting back from an early 11 point 1st quarter deficit and closing the gap to 1 point at the half.  The Sabers turned up the defensive pressure and ran a balanced half-court attack featuring a key 3-pt field goal from sophomore, Adia K. and inside out scoring from freshmen, Sophia N., Izzy P. and Gracie S.

The game became a back and forth affair in the up-tempo and high scoring second half.  Senior, Kyler M. scored 11 of her career high 15 points in the furious 4th quarter, but the strong perimeter shooting from Dwight proved to be too much.  Seniors, Cody G. and Charlotte N. chipped-in with 4 points apiece and were strong on the defensive end of the floor, especially in the stifling middle stanza.

Spence returns to action after break, as they take on Dalton at Dalton Athletic Center on January 7th.
