The Middle School Resource Center is an education and information service for students, teachers and parents. The Middle School Learning Specialists work with faculty to promote teaching strategies that benefit a range of learning styles.

Support programs for individuals and small groups of students address study skills, reading and writing, and mathematics fundamentals. In Grades 5 and 6, the Resource Center offers Language Adventures courses as an alternative to modern and classical languages. These classes are a study of active reading, decoding, vocabulary and written expression. Students gain an understanding of morphology and text structure and use this knowledge to improve their reading comprehension. In Grades 7 and 8, the Resource Center offers Reading and Writing Workshop, which is an intensive study of active reading and process writing developed to prepare girls to learn independently in Upper School.
