Stingrays Make a Splash Earning 2nd at AAIS Swim Championships

At this year’s AAIS Swim Championship, the Stingrays’ pursuit of team excellence resulted in the hard fought accomplishment of a 2nd place finish at the AAIS Swim Championship!

The tone was set for Spence in the afternoon’s first event, the 200 Medley Relay, as Spence took nearly two full seconds off of their fastest performance of the season to finish second, foreshadowing the cresting wave of top performances to come for the Stingrays. There was a continued True Blue parade of medals too, with Naomi B. taking bronze in the 200 Individual Medley, Sydney B. racing to gold in the 100 Butterfly, the Stingrays garnering another relay silver medal in the 200 Free Relay, and Lily C-C. capturing bronze in the 100 Backstroke.

The shared “team first” belief became reality with 12 Stingrays scoring points for the team and 8 swimmers with double digit point contributions, led by Cat v.S. (25 points), Riksung G. and Amalie S. (23 points each), Sydney B. and Sophia T. (20 points each), Lucy P. (17 points), and Lily C-C. and Naomi B. (16 points each).

Congratulations to the Spence Swim Team for making a splash at the AAIS Championship!
