Grade 8 Students Code Interactive Works of Art

For four weeks, the Grade 8 students learned how to code in their science classes using Processing, a Java-based open-source computer programming language that allows users to create art while learning the fundamentals of programming at the same time. At the end of this intensive unit, the students coded an interactive work of art based on an astronomy topic that was recently taught in Earth Science. To explore the art projects, click on the weblinks below. To check out the code the students developed to create their art projects, click on “</>” at the top of each project page.
