Ethics Elective

What does it mean to live a good life? How do we decide what’s right or wrong—and who gets to decide? 
In this course, students will explore the field of ethics, using the ideas of ancient and modern philosophers to tackle complex moral questions, both timeless and timely.

  • Grades 7-8: Ethics Elective

    Students will engage in rich discussions, debates, and ethical case studies while building skills in argumentation, critical thinking, and collaborative dialogue. Topics will include fairness, justice, personal responsibility, and real-world dilemmas such as consumer choices, environmental impact, and privacy rights.

    For students who are especially excited about ethical reasoning, there will also be an opportunity to represent the school in interscholastic Ethics Bowl competitions.
