Nearly one hundred alumnae from the Classes of 1999 through 2010 gathered at Lafayette on June 11 for the annual Young Alumnae Party.
Co-chaired by Lillian Barry Anselmi ’03, Emily Washkowitz ’04 and Kim Ross ’07, Spence’s annual Young Alumnae Party drew recent college graduates to expecting mothers.
In her brief remarks, Washkowitz welcomed the Class of 2010 to the ranks of the Alumnae Association, and encouraged all to continue their participation in the active Spence alumnae community.
“It’s awesome to come to an event like this every year,” Washkowitz said. “It’s gotten bigger and bigger every single year, and it’s great to catch up with old friends and new friends.”
Head of School Bodie Brizendine caught up with former students while also meeting graduates from before the start of her tenure at Spence.
“It’s really awesome to see the support from Spence,” Washkowitz said.
Over the course of the night, alumnae enjoyed cocktails and the company of one another. Old friends reunited, as well as several sets of sisters. Selena Kalvaria ’04, Camilla Kalvaria ’08 and Miranda Kalvaria ’10 all attended, joined by pairs Emily Neger ’05 and Hillary Neger ’09 and Jillian Merns ’01 and Olivia Merns ’06.
“Cheers to Spence,” Washkowitz toasted to the crowd.
