About Spence

Spence 412

The Spence School is building an athletic and educational facility—Spence 412—at 412 East 90th Street. In collaboration with Rogers Partners Architects, Spence has combined imagination and purpose in what will be a living commitment to athletics, the arts and ecology at Spence. The facility will include a regulation-size gymnasium for volleyball and basketball; nine squash courts, including an exhibition court; a multipurpose room for the performing arts; as well an ecology center and outdoor education space.

The superstructure work is in process and we anticipate to continue through the fall. This work will involve site utility connections, crane mobilization, an increased number of deliveries in support of steel/precast delivery and erection, which may require the occasional street closure. The hours of work are on weekdays from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. with after hour work as necessary and approved by the Department of Buildings.
