Valerie Feinberg Schweitzer '87 Named on 100 Women to Watch in Architecture List
Valerie Feinberg Schweitzer '87 has been recognized by Architizer, the largest database for architects, in its 100 Women to Watch in Architecture list. The list highlights “innovative women in architecture, each of whom is helping to shape the future of the built environment.”
Architizer commended Feinberg Schweitzer’s firm for its ingenuity, particularly around building design solutions that minimize environmental impact. “Specializing in urban apartment interiors, rustic country homes, experimental installations and residential buildings, Valerie Schweitzer Architects (VSA) are known for their creative interpretations of the American vernacular, as well as for their inventive introductions of carbon-friendly technology into expressive, place-making designs.”
Feinberg Schweitzer founded her firm in New York City in 2010. A decade later, during the height of Covid-19, Schweitzer was catapulted to the national spotlight for her award-winning Outside-in Pavilion project, a home designed with the limitations of the pandemic in mind that “captivated home-bound audiences who were dreaming of contemplative and playful work-from-home spaces immersed in nature.”
Congratulations to Valerie Feinberg Schweitzer '87 for the well-deserved recognition of her innovative work.
