Additional instruction and academic support


In the Lower School

The Resource Center for Kindergarten through Grade 4 supports and serves students with learning differences in order to foster in them a sense of self-confidence and encourage them to become independent learners. The Center provides academic support for students and consultation for faculty and parents. Resource teachers team with homeroom teachers to provide instruction in reading, writing and math. They also work with faculty to promote teaching strategies that enhance strengths and minimize the barriers to learning, in order to benefit a range of learning styles. Resource teachers conduct  informal educational assessments and coordinate educational evaluations and outside tutoring when needed. Resource teachers provide additional instruction and academic support outside the classroom for small groups and individual students.

In the Middle School


The Middle School Resource Center is an education and information service for students, teachers and parents. Support programs for individual and small groups of students address study skills, reading and writing, and mathematics fundamentals. Resource Center staff work with faculty to promote teaching strategies that benefit a range of learning styles.

In the Upper School

The Resource Center is an education and information service for students, teachers and parents. Support programs for individuals and small groups are offered for those students who are experiencing academic difficulty. Members of the Resource Center work with faculty to promote teaching strategies that benefit a range of learning styles.
