Second Act
Second Act offers children in the Lower School the opportunity to participate in a variety of stimulating, hands-on activities after school. Children may register for classes from one day to five days per week, with different classes offered each day. Recent offerings have included gymnastics, chess, computer training, swimming, jewelry making, drama, chorus, science, art, dance, sports, woodworking, martial arts, computers, yoga, origami, knitting, and languages. Many classes are taught by Spence teachers, giving students the chance to interact with faculty members in a more relaxed atmosphere. Children enrolled in Second Act may stay as late as 6:00 PM on Monday through Thursday, and until 4:30 on Fridays. All Second Act programs are co-ed and open to students and siblings from other schools.
